Need a
hand?

LutKit reads Apple Log and Apple Log 2 straight from your clip, grades it against a .cube LUT, and exports the result without touching the original. If a clip is not doing what you expect, or a purchase is not showing up, this page covers the usual causes and how to reach hloo about the rest.

  1. How to get help

Write to lutkit.app@proton.me. LutKit has no account and no in-app chat, so email is the only way through, and hloo reads all of it.

A reply comes faster with a few details attached:

    • Your iPhone or Mac model.
    • The iOS or macOS version you are running.
    • The clip format: Apple Log, Apple Log 2, or something else.
    • What you expected to happen, and what happened instead.
  2. Does LutKit recognise my footage on its own?

Yes. Apple Log and Apple Log 2 are both read automatically; there is no profile to choose by hand. If a clip is graded as though it were something else, that is worth a support email with the clip's format attached.

  3. How do I add my own LUTs?

Import .cube files from the Files app, one at a time or as a .zip containing several. They are copied into LutKit's own storage, so the library keeps working even if you move or delete the originals afterwards.

  4. What do I get without paying?

The full editor and HEVC export at full native resolution, with no watermark and no time limit. The free tier is not a trial; it stays that way for as long as you use the app.

  5. What does Pro add, and how does it work?

Batch export, ProRes 422 export, the film grain tool, and every look. Pro is either a yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, or a one-time Lifetime purchase, whichever suits you better.

  6. I reinstalled LutKit. Where did my purchases go?

Open LutKit's settings and look under LutKit Pro for Restore purchases. It brings back Pro and any looks you bought, tied to the Apple Account you bought them with.

  7. Will exporting change my original clip, and what about refunds?

An export always writes a new file; the clip you imported is never modified. Refunds go through Apple rather than hloo, at reportaproblem.apple.com.
